Moulding Materials and Binders
Foseco was a relatively late entrant into the binder market with the development and commercialisation of a CO2 set silicate binder process in 1953. Although silicate technology was well known the variability of the process made it unsuitable for foundry use.

By bringing the process under control, foundries were able to produce moulds and cores without the application of heat required for traditional methods.

With the acquisition of Ciba-Geigy foundry resins in 1982, Foseco became a mainstream supplier of resin binders and today offers a comprehensive range of binders, catalysts and ancillary products for the production of moulds and cores.
