Together, both companies offer improved solutions for the foundry, creating optimised gating and risering systems. They create real value for the foundryman, supporting improved cost efficiency, quality consciousness and creating robust production scenarios. This will be demonstrated on the C3 stand, through numerous casting case studies. These highlight the successful application of foundry process simulation, in combination with the most effective use of feeding and filtration products and application expertise.
The basis for this approach is the ability to quantify and model effectively the FOSECO products. This requires the determination of key material properties, using the most advanced measurement techniques. This information is provided to the foundryman via the FOSECO Pro Module; a geometry and material properties database, specifically designed for MAGMASOFT®.
The Casting Competence Centre presents the unique methodology and approach adopted for the determination of the material data sets. In addition, the Stand will demonstrate the practical applications of the data within MAGMASOFT®, using numerous foundry case studies.

Practical application of the FOSECO Pro Module. The accurate prediction of shrinkage can only be consistently obtained with robust feeding system thermal data. The example above highlights a commercial ductile iron casting, simulated using MAGMASOFT® and the FOSECO Pro Module.
