Foundryman’s Handbook
First published in 1946, the Foundryman’s Handbook provides instant access to facts and figures on just about every aspect of metal casting.

Available only in English, the 11th edition was published in 2000 and provides a practical reference book for everyone involved in making castings in any of the commonly used alloys by any of the conventional methods.

Since casting technology has become more specialised and there have been many significant developments so the Handbook is now published in two volumes:

  • Foseco Ferrous Foundryman’s Handbook covers grey, ductile and special purpose cast irons and carbon, low alloy and high alloy steels. (Publisher: Butterworth-Heinemann, ISBN: 075064284X)

  • Foseco Non-Ferrous Foundryman’s Handbook covers aluminium, copper and magnesium casting alloys.
    (Publisher: Butterworth-Heinemann, ISBN: 0750642866)

How to obtain a copy
Copies of either handbook can be ordered at most major book shops. Alternatively, please contact your local Foseco Company or Agent.

The Handbooks refer to many Foseco products. Not all of these products are available in every country and in some cases, the product names may vary. Users should always contact their local Foseco Company to check whether a particular product or its equivalent is available.
